Rappahannock River Oyster Flavor Profile Characteristics

Rappahannock River Oysters are one of the oyster appellations from the Chesapeake Bay region off the Maryland and Virginia coasts and have been cultivated here since 1899. They are a classic East Coast oyster and should be tasted by any oyster lover. They are cultivated in the Rappahannock River near Topping Virginia where they are far enough from the ocean to create an oyster with a low salinity.
