Chesapeake Oyster Flavor Profile Characteristics

Chesapeake Oysters are a generic name for East Coast oysters from the Chesapeake oyster region on the Maryland and Virginia coasts.  They could be from any of the waters in the region.  You are better of purchasing oysters from a specific appellation of the region: Rappahannock, York River, James River, Chincoteague, Stingray, Paramour, or Old Salt.
