Overall Rating: Superior Quality Professional Knife
Joe Bartlett aka The Knife Nerd helped me do another knife review. We would definitely recommend this knife. It performed well on each of our tests. It made easy work of the shallot, had no problem with the thickness or denseness of the onion, sliced the basil chiffonade cleanly without any tearing or bruising, and it truly shined when we took it to the carrot! It went through the carrot exceptionally well.
Beyond its practical usefulness, the LauKingdom Chef Knife is also a very aesthetically designed knife, especially the Damascus layering which has a beautiful, intricate design. And the knife is comfortable in the hand with a smooth transition over the bolster between blade and handle.
One small note: on the Amazon page it states that this is a “heavy knife.” I’d disagree and would say that the knife is light when compared to similar knives. But, that lightness did not affect its performance.
