Lemon Sole are actually a Flounder, not a Sole, but are called "Sole" because the term is more marketable. They have an average market weight of 1-2 lbs. The term Lemon Sole usually refers to fish over 3 1/2 lbs (see Alternate Names note). The largest Lemon Sole reach 5 lbs.
Range & Habitat
Lemon Sole are found on the Atlantic Coast from eastern Canada to Georgia.
