Maple Point Oyster Flavor Profile Characteristics

Maple Point Oysters are a Pacific Northwest oyster from one of the South Puget Sound oyster appellations in Washington State.  They are a beach cultivated oyster but they have characteristics much more similar to bag cultivated oysters.  Their shells are very fluted and more brittle than typical beach raised oysters.  Maple Point oysters have full, plump meats with a taste like ocean air: light and sweet with a mild brininess.
