Both the Fishmonger iPhone App for fish and the Fishmonger Android App are now available!

Fishmonger is designed by a professional chef and is geared towards Professional Chefs, foodies and culinarians.  The app gives basic culinary information for over 50 species of fish (complete list below), including videos on how to butcher 15 types of fish.  Each fish profile includes: flavor profile, quick-notes on sustainability, availability, description, alternate names, butchering yields for many fish, and links for more information.

Need info on various cuts of fish?  Fishmonger has a large variety of US and European culinary definitions for various cuts of fish including: loin, fillet, fletch, supreme, troncon, paupiette, H&G, bullets, dressed and more.  There is also an at-a-glance list of how to choose quality fresh fish for both whole fish and fillets.

An RSS feed from Chef's Resources will keep you up to date on new culinary information released by this website designed for Chefs which covers fish & seafood, but  also has quality information about cuts of beef, produce yields, kitchen management and a huge list of oyster profiles.
